Youth Hunt
My husband and I have been getting our kids into hunting. It's been such a joy being able to share this skill with them.
The Start
I am the first female in our family to hunt. Growing up I was always told "the men go hunting and the women go shopping." I hated that. I am not a shopper, unless it's thrift shopping, but it was frowned upon by the women in my family. I always remember it being a huge event for my father, brother, and grandfather growing up.
Harvest Moon!
It's the harvest moon ya'll! Had the opportunity to sit in the tree tonight and will again tomorrow night if I don't get anything. Saw a monster on camera last night. The deer are finally moving now that the corn has been picked around us! The wind is finally right and I get to sit in what everyone calls it to be my stand. It does face the sun in the evening, but whenever that sun gets behind the trees, the deer come out right in front of me. I love it! If you're hunting during the harvest moon, good luck! Bow Hunting Is My Therapy
Bow hunting is my favorite. There is nothing like sitting in the tree stand by yourself just taking in the beauty of nature, and watching the sun either rise or set. The quietness calms me. I don't have anyone asking me for anything and I am away from the world. Even if I don't see or get anything, it's still worth the time out there.
